Bagless Day @ Sagar Vidya Niketan KG I to Class II (24.04.2025) Sagar Vidya Niketan came alive with cheer and excitement today as Bagless Day was conducted for students of KG I to Class II under the vibrant theme “Beat the Heat.” Without the weight of bags and books, children walked into school with glowing smiles and boundless enthusiasm, ready to embrace a day full of joyful learning. For many, it felt like a dream came true—no books, no bags, only fun, laughter, and discovery. The freedom sparked a sense of happiness among the students as they interacted freely, played with friends, and truly enjoyed each moment. The day began with a calming yoga session to energize and focus young minds. This was followed by engaging motor skill activities that encouraged movement, coordination, and teamwork. Children then tapped into their creative side through drawing and colouring seasonal fruits like watermelon, muskmelon, and banana. The joy continued with a lively music session and an engaging story played on Tata Edge, bringing learning to life through visuals and imagination. The celebration concluded with an energetic Zumba dance session that had everyone moving with delight. The Bagless Day was not just a break from routine—it left behind beautiful memories and smiling faces, reminding us that sometimes, the lightest days make the deepest impact.

Earth Day

From Classrooms to the Cosmos, Young Minds, Green Deeds—Let’s Nurture Earth, Our Only Home in the Universe! With this inspiring message, the students of Sagar Vidya Niketan enthusiastically celebrated the 55th Earth Day on 22nd April 2025, honouring the birth of the Modern Environmental Movement and promoting global awareness for our planet. The day commenced with a stirring address and an oath-taking ceremony led by Headmistress, Ms. Priyanka Upadhyay. Students showcased their creativity through vibrant poster-making and drawing sessions, reflecting their affection for Mother Earth. Interactive skits and classroom dialogues highlighted practical yet impactful steps such as conserving water, planting trees, minimizing plastic use, and maintaining cleanliness. The celebration not only enlightened young minds but also inspired them to become mindful stewards of the environment. Tiny hands promised to take care of mother earth by planting saplings in the school compound. Let’s unite our efforts to build a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world!

This is the way to success. – Swami Vivekananda On 12th January 2025, Rashtriya Yuva Diwas was celebrated to honor the Birth Anniversary of the great philosopher and visionary, Swami Vivekananda, a youth icon whose thoughts continue to inspire generations. The day witnessed a special morning assembly dedicated to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. All the students of the school performed Surya namaskar, symbolizing physical fitness, mental strength, and harmony—a tribute to Swamiji’s advocacy of a balanced body, mind, and soul. The assembly dispersed with a pledge to uphold Swami Vivekananda’s values of perseverance, character-building, and self-belief, reminding everyone of their responsibilities as the future torchbearers of the nation.
